Talent Acquisition
HR Matters offers contingency placement and retained head hunting and executive search services to our clients, across a number of sectors and industries. We are registered with the Department of Labour as an employment services agency (PrEA) and members of the Federation of African Personnel Staffing Organizations (APSO).

HR Administration
HR Matters has and continues to develop a suite of Human Resources (HR) outsourced solutions through which we partner our clients in the small, medium and large business sectors, thereby handling their HR matters whilst they focus on their core business. HR administration involves the overall employment experience, from cradle to grave, of the workforce and as such our services typically involve the following:

  • Filing Administration: workforce registration with legislative bodies such the South African Revenue Services (SARS) and the Department of Labour (DoL)

  • Contracts of Employment: Develop and/or review to ensure alignment with company policies, Basic Conditions of Employment Act (BCEA) and other related legislation

  • Payroll Processing: we offer a web-based employee and manager self-service payroll service with a leave administration module

  • HR Policies and Procedures: develop and/or review HR policies in line with BCEA, Employment Equity, Skills Development Act, Occupational Health and Safety legislation

  • Sound Labour Relations: fostering legal and fair employment practices in line with the Labour Relations Act (LRA) and relevant company policies. We work with a carefully selected firms of labour attorneys where CCMA or Labour Court representation is required


Consulting is one of HR Matters core competencies, used in the main to:

  • Assist leadership and management to develop strategic, operational (execution) and annual performance plans

  • We follow varied models of strategy development facilitation depending on the nature of industry our client is in, for the RSA Public Sector, we use in the main the Framework for Managing Programme Performance â€" National Treasury

  • For our Private Sector Clientele, we use any one of up to date models which could include Scenario Planning, Six Hats, Blue Ocean Strategy, Balance Score Card, and other Outside " In Strategy Planning approaches; in each case we would agree the precise framework with clients prior to implementation

  • Facilitate team cohesion and effectiveness in building Purposeful Teams

  • Enhance decision making by following a structured facilitation process

  • Depending on the matter at hand, sometimes we would use the less known Dynamic Facilitation approach which thrives on a somewhat chaotic, less structured and free flow blue skying effort, often times with amazing “out of the box thinking”results of a truly transformational nature.


HR Matters (Pty) Ltd is an accredited training and education provider, with Services SETA (SSETA) accreditation no. 3685, and MoUs with the MICT and LG SETAs. Our training facility is easily accessible in Umhlanga Ridge adjacent to the Gateway Theatre of Shopping.

We facilitate team effectiveness and cohesion interventions, and conduct team leader, supervisory, management and leadership skills training focusing on empowering people who do things through others to do so successfully in what could otherwise be a very challenging environment for anyone given rapid changes taking place in society.

Some of the business skills programmes we offer are customer service, assertiveness and confidence building, report writing and minute taking course among a fully-fledged workplace library of courses.
