KZN Top Business Awards 2026: Official Category Shortlist Revealed

Durban, 19 June 2026 — Following an absolute mountain of spadework executed behind closed doors, KZN Top Business has officially released the highly anticipated category shortlist for the KZN Top Business Awards 2026 brought to you by Standard Bank and Women of Africa Group supported by East Coast Radio.

The sheer volume of entries received this year was immense, making the evaluation process an incredibly tough task. Because of the massive influx of top-tier submissions, hitting this milestone required a tremendous amount of heavy lifting from our team. We want to acknowledge every single organisation that put themselves forward, as the competition was fierce.

The companies that have successfully secured a spot on this year's shortlist represent the absolute vanguard of economic excellence, resilience, and sustainable development across KwaZulu-Natal. To maintain total fairness, all shortlisted organisations are presented strictly in alphabetical order and in no particular ranking.

Clarification on Honorary Categories & Public Brand Voting

KZN Top Business notes that two of the province's highest accolades, the KZN Top Business Leader and the celebrating of outstanding KZN Business Woman, do not feature public shortlists. These represent highly prestigious, honorary positions determined entirely at the discretion of the sponsors and the KZN Top Business leadership team based on long-term impact.

Separately, the public pulse continues to race in the KZN Top Business Battle of the Brands. Unlike the judged sector awards above, this brand race is decided entirely by public vote. The continuous countdown log remains live, and public voting will officially close next Sunday, 28 June 2026, at 22:00.

The ultimate winners across all categories will be crowned live at the spectacular Grand Finale Gala Dinner at the Durban ICC on Thursday, 16 July 2026.
