Following from the portfolios, the annual KZN Top Business Awards showcases many of these companies and leaders’ success stories. The awards are open to companies or organisations that have an office in KZN. Of primary importance, entrants are required to explain how their company contributes to the KZN economy. To qualify they must have a proactive business model that adheres to the principles of King IV achieving the four governance outcomes of: ethical culture, good performance and value creation, adequate and effective control, and trust, good reputation, and legitimacy.
