For nearly three decades, KZN Top Business has served as the definitive network and publishing platform for regional enterprise. At the heart of its visual identity and operational execution is Kerri Adlam, affectionately known as Kez. As the Art and Creative Director, her work bridges high end graphic design, digital marketing, and complex event logistics, ensuring that the stories of local businesses resonate on both a provincial and global stage.
1. Shaping Brand Identity and Desktop Publishing
Operating at the intersection of creativity and project management, Kerri leads the design initiatives for both KZN Top Business and Kezlea Graphics.
Visual Storytelling: She heads up the Desktop Publishing department, often under Superfecta Trading, turning corporate narratives into polished advertorials, corporate brochures, and digital campaigns.
End to End Asset Creation: Her portfolio ranges from designing large scale event posters and commemorative plaques to managing high level branding photography.
Administrative Backbone: Her role goes far beyond the design software. She seamlessly handles critical project administration, including the logistics of gala delegate bookings, conference accommodation, and managing the manufacturing workflows for commercial printing.
2. Redefining Corporate Excellence: KZN Top Business Women
Kerri's creative direction is perhaps most visible in the KZN Top Business Women initiative. Her approach helped transform the traditional corporate awards model into an inclusive branding ecosystem.
A Celebration of Shared Success: She has been instrumental in ensuring the initiative functions as a true recognition ceremony where everyone is a winner, with no single winners.
The Coffee Table Book Legacy: Rather than handing out an isolated trophy, the initiative focuses on storytelling. Kerri drives the creative phase, from overseeing high end branding photoshoots to the meticulous layout of a premium commemorative coffee table book. This visually stunning publication immortalises the personal narratives, resilience, and success stories of female leaders across the province, giving them a lasting legacy and a prestigious marketing tool.
3. A Masterclass in Digital Momentum: Africa Leads the Way
In May 2026, Toastmasters International celebrated Africa Day through the Africa Leads the Way symposium. Conceptualised by Aletta Rochat, the first African International President in the organisation's century long history, the event was designed to showcase African leadership and foster borderless business collaboration.
Serving as a core member of the organisational dream team, Kerri spearheaded a digital strategy that turned a passion project into a global movement.
The 48 Hour Viral Push: Kerri engineered a highly aggressive, visually compelling YouTube campaign utilising dynamic promotional assets. The strategy was explosive, generating 71,000 views in just 48 hours prior to the event.
The Real Time Broadcast Scramble: Because the digital marketing converted so effectively, thousands of international delegates flooded the virtual gates. This massive influx forced the team to execute an immediate, on the fly upgrade to their Zoom infrastructure to prevent the platform from crashing, while simultaneously managing complex global speaker hand offs.
A Lasting Legacy: The flawless execution and global engagement of the symposium played a pivotal role in Toastmasters Southern Africa achieving the prestigious President's Distinguished status by July 2026.
4. Leadership Beyond the Design Desk
Kerri's commitment to leadership, communication, and community extends well beyond her daily work at KZN Top Business. She is actively involved as the Vice President of Public Relations for the Cape Town Toastmasters Club, where she manages guest relations and drives internal communications. Her dynamic approach to teamwork and endurance isn't limited to the boardroom either, she has even taken to the pavement to complete a half marathon alongside Aletta Rochat, reflecting a drive that perfectly matches the fast paced demands of her career.
Ultimately, whether she is laying out a corporate publication, managing complex gala logistics, or driving a viral global broadcast, Kerri Adlam operates as the essential creative and operational engine that brings powerful business stories to life.
