Whispers of Hope Raises R345,000 for PinkDrive

Radisson Blu Hotel, Durban Umhlanga hosted its annual Whispers of Hope Breast Cancer Awareness High Tea on Saturday, 24 October 2026, raising an incredible R345,000 in support of PinkDrive.

Curated by the hotel's Marketing Manager, Fara Hamid, the event brought together guests, sponsors and members of the Durban community for an afternoon filled with heartfelt moments, powerful stories and incredible generosity.

Carol Ofori was the MC for the afternoon, while Maeshni Naicker brought her energy and humour to the live auction. One of the most moving moments was hearing from breast cancer survivor and guest speaker Sophia Alley, who courageously shared her personal journey.

The overwhelming support from everyone involved made this year's event particularly special, once again highlighting the generosity of the Durban community and the importance of coming together for such a meaningful cause.
