Durban strengthening global superyacht partnerships at YARE

The eThekwini Municipality delegation, through Invest Durban, is once again participating in YARE – Yachting Aftersales & Refit Experience 2026 in Viareggio, Italy, one of the world’s leading networking platforms for the superyacht refit and aftersales sector.

Building on our successful participation in 2025, Durban played a prominent role at the event by sponsoring the Gala Dinner, creating high-level engagement opportunities with global industry leaders. Invest Durban’s branding was prominently displayed through event banners, helping position Durban as an emerging destination for superyacht services and marine investment.

Importantly, the 2025 engagement also resulted in the signing of a mutual Letter of Intent aimed at strengthening cooperation and attracting  foreign direct investment from international superyacht builders and global marina developers to Durban.

Now in 2026, the Invest Durban delegation is deepening these relationships and continuing to promote the strategic advantages of the Port of Durban as a competitive hub for superyacht refit, maintenance and marina development within the growing global ocean economy.
