Johannesburg came alive with colour, culture and community as India Day 2026 brought people together for a memorable celebration of Indian heritage and the strong ties between India and South Africa.
The event provided an opportunity for visitors to experience the richness of Indian culture while celebrating traditions, travel, music, food and the shared values that connect communities across borders.
Among the exhibitors was Satguru Travel, whose stand welcomed visitors throughout the day. Guests had the opportunity to connect with the Satguru Travel team, take part in activities and discover more about travel opportunities and destinations.

For Satguru Travel, the event was about more than travel. It was about building relationships, celebrating heritage and creating meaningful connections within the community.
The success of the celebration was also made possible through the support of valued partners and sponsors. Their contribution helped create an event that showcased the best of Indian culture while strengthening connections between businesses, organisations and the wider community.
Special appreciation goes to Jay Kalayan, Hitesh Harwani and Renier Van Der Schyff for their involvement and support.
With India Day continuing to bring communities together, events such as this serve as an important reminder of the power of culture, collaboration and shared experiences.
From Johannesburg to destinations around the world, travel has the ability to connect people, open new horizons and bring cultures closer together.
India Day 2026 was a celebration of that spirit — culture, community, connection and the enduring relationship between India and South Africa.
