Thanks to a great partnership with LIV Village and Boxer Superstores, Camperdown farmer and Director of Izora Trading, Khethelo Mhlongo, now proudly supplies his spinach to eight Boxer Superstores across the Eastern parts of KZN.
Khethelo, who has been listed as a supplier with Boxer since 2021, continually reaches for new goals. Realising that he needed additional assistance, particularly with storage, packing and distribution, he formed a partnership with renowned NPO, LIV Village which cares for orphaned and abandoned children, and was able to guarantee a sustainable product thanks to the provision of a strong distribution facility, cold storage, tunnels and a pack house.
Supplying a supermarket like Boxer has left an impression on the farmer. “Boxer took a chance on me first". He added: "I have been able to grow even more now, thanks to that partnership with Boxer, and when I talk to other brands and companies, it carries weight and allows me more opportunities to continue my journey. The best thing about this relationship is that Boxer treats me like family, it’s more than just a business. That I think is incredibly important."
