As part of Tourism and Heritage Month, Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife is opening its gates to the people of South Africa by offering free access to its parks every Friday throughout September.


This initiative is driven by the importance of encouraging South Africans to feel a greater sense of ownership of and connection to our natural heritage. It also aims to promote domestic tourism and encourage South Africans to explore the beauty and diversity of KwaZulu-Natal, particularly those who may have travelled to other provinces without fully experiencing the remarkable tourism offerings in their own province.


Special Deals and Discounts

Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife continues to make its parks accessible and affordable through a range of special offers:

  • 30% Discount for Government Employees:

To encourage travel among working South Africans, Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife offers government employees a 30% discount when visiting its parks.

  • 30% Discount for South African Senior Citizens:

Senior citizens and pensioners can enjoy a 30% discount, providing an opportunity to relax, explore nature and enjoy the province's parks at more affordable rates.

  • 20% Student Discount:

Students receive a 20% discount when visiting and staying overnight at Ezemvelo KZN Wildlife facilities.

  • Up to 50% Discount for School Groups:

Ezemvelo offers up to 50% discounts to qualifying educational school groups. This supports schools that wish to visit our parks and participate in educational, environmental and outdoor activities.

  • Stokvel Packages:

Registered stokvel clubs can plan their Ezemvelo outings well in advance, starting as early as January. Our “Pay Now, Travel Later” option allows groups to plan and save towards their trips while benefiting from discounts of up to 30%.
