Mobi Ventures, a leading integrated emergency response group, is celebrating its 10th anniversary in March after a decade of delivering trusted, rapid emergency support to tens of thousands of South Africans through medical, security and fire-related incidents nationwide. Founded in 2016 with a single innovation, Mobi-Claw911, Mobi Ventures set out to solve one critical problem: reducing emergency response times when seconds matter most. What began with no clients and a simple mobile app has since evolved into a nationally trusted emergency services ecosystem relied upon daily by individuals, families, businesses and communities. “Emergency services are built on trust,” says Wynand Laatz, Operations Director. “You don’t get second chances in this space. The fact that people continue to rely on us 10 years later is something we’re incredibly proud of.”
From One App to an Integrated Emergency Ecosystem
Mobi Ventures disrupted the emergency response industry with the launch of Mobi Claw911, often described as a ‘taxi e-hailing’ model for emergencies. By combining a user-friendly app with a professional control room and verified boots-on-the ground responders, the platform enabled faster, coordinated emergency assistance for medical, crime and fire incidents. T his innovation laid the foundation for the group’s expansion into a comprehensive suite of emergency and security solutions, including vehicle tracking and recovery, AI-powered CCTV surveillance, armed response services, and affordable access to private ambulances. “Our journey started with one app,” says Mike Myers, Group CEO of Mobi Ventures. “Today, we’re focused on building an ecosystem that makes emergency support more accessible and more reliable for everyone.”
