A Country Christmas: Festive Cheer and Local Finds Await in The Midlands

The festive season is just around the corner, and the annual Country Christmas Market is preparing to bring a little Christmas magic to the Midlands. Hosted by Domino Servite School in partnership with aQuellé, the two-day event takes place on Friday, 6 November and Saturday, 7 November 2026, at the KwaSizabantu Mission in KwaZulu-Natal.
With the mission being the birthplace of the aQuellé brand, the market has strong community roots, bringing together local vendors, artisans, families and visitors from across the province.
Shoppers can browse a variety of stalls offering handmade crafts, Christmas decorations, clothing, toys, locally propagated plants, artisanal gifts and second-hand treasures. It is an opportunity to support local traders while finding something a little different for the festive season.
Food will also be a highlight, with stalls offering everything from savoury meals and gourmet bakes to sweet treats and refreshing drinks. aQuellé will add to the experience with its mocktail bars, featuring creative refreshments made with its sparkling waters. Visitors can also look out for the brand's limited-edition Christmas bottle packaging and seasonal flavours.
There will be plenty to keep the whole family entertained, too. Children can enjoy dedicated activities and outdoor entertainment, while visitors can explore the grounds on nature walks.
Live performances from community choirs and local musicians will contribute to the atmosphere, with festive decorations and twinkling lights setting the scene for evening visitors.
Whether browsing the stalls, enjoying a bite to eat or taking in the entertainment, the market offers a relaxed opportunity to spend time with family & friends and celebrate the start of the festive season.
