TELLING THE STORIES THAT SHAPE KZN

Since its establishment in 1998, KZN Top Business has evolved into one of KwaZuluNatal’s leading content marketing and business media companies. For more than 28 years, the organisation has worked alongside businesses of every size, helping them strengthen their brands through credible storytelling, strategic content marketing and meaningful engagement.

As the media landscape continues to evolve, KZN Top Business has consistently adapted its platforms and services to meet the changing needs of both clients and audiences, ensuring that business stories are not only told but are discovered, shared and remembered.

“Our purpose has always been to connect businesses with their markets through credible, relevant and engaging content,” said Grant Adlam, CEO of KZN Top Business. “Our continued growth reflects our commitment to innovation and our passion for showcasing the people, organisations and ideas that drive KwaZulu-Natal’s economy.”

The KwaZulu-Natal Top Business Portfolio

The KwaZulu-Natal Top Business Portfolio remains the company’s flagship publication and a respected reference for business in the province. Today, it is far more than a publication, it is a fully integrated multimedia platform that combines the strengths of print, digital and video.

The Portfolio includes a comprehensive, searchengine optimised website, an annual A5 printed handbook, a digital eBook, active social media channels and an expanding video library featuring business leaders, company profiles and industry insights. Together, these platforms provide clients with measurable visibility while reaching audiences wherever they consume content.

“Businesses need to be visible across multiple channels,” said Adlam. “By integrating print, online, social media and video, we are able to tell compelling stories that build credibility, strengthen brands and deliver lasting value.”

The next print run for the publication will be in November 2026.

Expanding Pressroom Services

KZN Top Business’s pressroom services continue to provide organisations with an effective platform for sharing company news, achievements and announcements.

Client-generated articles are published across dedicated web pages and social media channels, where they remain fully searchable, permanently archived and optimised for search engines. Content is republished across multiple platforms to maximise exposure, with clients able to submit news throughout the year without limitation.

Business Sense

Reflecting the growing demand for timely business intelligence, Business Sense is published every month in both print and digital formats.

The publication delivers informed commentary and practical insights for the business community, covering economic trends, major infrastructure and investment projects, public policy, leadership, tourism, innovation and personal development, while maintaining a strong focus on the opportunities and challenges shaping KwaZulu-Natal.

Complementing the printed publication is a robust digital presence that includes a dedicated website, social media channels, video interviews and targeted email campaigns, ensuring readers remain informed wherever they are.

Business Sense is also available in the lounges at King Shaka International Airport, providing travelling professionals and business leaders with convenient access to the latest business news and analysis.

Looking Ahead

The remainder of 2026 promises to be an exciting period for KZN Top Business, with several Grant Adlam, CEO, KZN Top Business significant initiatives already underway.

Planning is well advanced for a new youth-focused programme designed to celebrate and support the province’s next generation of business leaders and entrepreneurs. Further details will be announced in the coming months.

The highly regarded KZN Top Business Women initiative will once again culminate in its prestigious gala awards evening in November. Nominations are now open, recognising exceptional women who continue to make a meaningful impact across business, industry and their communities.

KZN Top Business will also continue to partner with organisations across the province to deliver conferences, webinars and business events that encourage collaboration, thought leadership and knowledge sharing.
